Ian Davenport work auctioned for Covid Crisis
Today (12 June), a newly created work and limited edition silk bound book by London-based artist Ian Davenport, go up for auction in the online Covid Creation Capsule sale, to raise funds for the Covid Crisis Rescue Foundation in support of relief efforts in the UK.
Running online until 28 June, Davenport's works, specially made to commemorate the launch of this auction, are included alongside pieces by Juergen Teller, Rose Wylie, France-Lise McGurn, Eileen Cooper RA and David Shrigley.
Since its launch in March, the chartiy has raised over £100,000, and has procured and delivered over 30,000 items of protective equipment and medical devices directly to healthcare workers. Adapting to the evolving impact of the health crisis, CCR will be supporting individuals both in terms of their health and wellbeing, and economically, with particular focus on those who are
homeless, suffering from domestic abuse and mental health conditions.
