Peter Blake’s studio comes to Pitzhanger Manor in a new solo exhibition
Waddington Custot is pleased to announce that represented artist Sir Peter Blake will be the subject of a major exhibition at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery this November, organised with the support of the gallery, curated by Jake Twyford and Louise Shorr.
In a career spanning seven decades, Blake (b.1932) has become the defining figure of British Pop Art with his paintings, collages, prints and album covers.
Now his West London studio – just a short distance from Pitzhanger in nearby Hammersmith – will be recreated inside the gallery, offering a rare and intimate insight into his working life, alongside an array of artworks that showcase the full breadth of his artistic output.
Peter Blake: In the Studio will feature paintings, sculpture, collages, and works on paper, revealing his deep fascination with both popular culture and British and American cultural life.
At the centre of the exhibition will be an immersive recreation of Blake's studio, allowing visitors to step into the world of the artist's imagination, and a physical space depicting not only his working environment over many years, but one which is also home to his extraordinary collection of curiosities, memorabilia and artifacts that have inspired him throughout.
Exhibition dates: 25 November 2026 – 4 April 2027
