Peter Blake designs artwork for new album by The Who

The artwork for the new album by The Who has been created by artist Sir Peter Blake, a longtime friend of the British rock band. 

The new album WHO, released on 22 November 2019 via Polydor Records, will be the band's first in 13 years. It purports to cover a myriad of subjects including the Grenfell Tower fire, musical theft, spirituality, reincarnation, the power of memory and ‘an old rock star that has lost his marbles’.

Blake's design incorporates iconic pop imagery and symbols from the band's history and is emblazoned in the centre with the album title.
