Fabienne Verdier to open Major Exhibition at Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine, Paris
Fabienne Verdier will unveil a major exhibition, Mute – Fabienne Verdier, at Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine from 22 October 2025 to 16 February 2026. Curated by Matthieu Poirier, the show launches a new series bringing contemporary art into dialogue with the museum’s collections.
Presented in the Galerie des moulages, Mute features around forty works spanning three decades. Verdier’s fluid, abstract gestures respond to the monumental medieval and classical casts, creating an immersive space where past and present meet. The exhibition runs alongside Chromoscope, which explores the legacy of American Color Field painting, highlighting how abstraction continues to evolve today.
Part of the institutional program of Art Basel Paris and supported by Galerie Lelong & Co. and Waddington Custot, this exhibition invites visitors to experience the transformative power of silence, gesture, and colour.
